Boston has already been thinking of what he wants to be when he gets "a yittle bit bigger." Each morning when he wakes up he informs me of his occupation for that day. One day he laid out all his toys and said "Welcome to Wal-mert, (that's what he calls it) what would you like to buy today?" We played store the entire day! Another time he decided he was a tow truck driver. I had to call him on his phone and report crashes. Sure enough he'd come and tow each car away one by one.
Yesturday he told me he wanted to be the Mail Man. So we got out the art supplies and made a mailbox. This was a hit! After awhile Boston decided that it's funner to recieve mail rather than deliver it. So several times during the day I would sneak and put some "mail" in his box. Usually a little note with a treat or some stickers attached. As soon as he realized his flag was up, he started screaming "I've got mail, I've got mail!" He loves it. Boston was already in bed when Corey got home last night, so he snuck into his room and slipped a letter in his box. Boston was so excited this morning when he got his mail.
I'm sure we...or at least I.... will be playing Mail Man for several days to come!
